Estimating Costs: To start an estimate for custom doors or windows, we need to talk to you about the styles, quantities, and sizes of the doors and windows you’ll be ordering. We will also need you to specify certain options such as hardware finish, glazing type, wood species, screens, and any other important specifications.

Scheduling: Finally, we will need to know when you’ll need your products ready. Since all our work is custom-made, your order cannot be shipped from stock but we will work closely with you to meet your delivery dates. If you have pressing deadlines, we can usually slip your order into our existing work flow if you can be a bit flexible about using readily-available materials and construction features that we are already tooled up to produce on our shop floor.

The Design Process: We work with your architect and builder to coordinate aesthetic details with practical design considerations. We can send CAD drawings electronically to expedite the design approvals. These are two samples of the many drawings we have prepared for clients. Delivery & Installation: All our products are priced FOB at our factory, and we welcome you to stop by to pick up your order personally so we can give you a tour of our operation. If that’s not possible, you have several delivery options:

If your job site is within a day’s drive of Brattleboro, VT, we can blanket wrap, pack, and deliver your order for an additional fee.

We can pack your order and arrange shipment by common carrier for an additional fee. We have worked extensively with ABF Freight LINK and recommend them highly.

ABF Freight can also arrange shipping in a 28-foot container that provides secure, weather-resistant on-site storage. Many of our customers find that the convenience and protection this option offers more than pays for the additional cost.

You are welcome to supply your own carrier or can get competitive bids from other carriers at FrightQuote www.freightquuote.com.

Installation is not included in the price of our packages. If you do not have an installer available, we can recommend pre-qualified contractors who have proven to be competent and reliable in their work with us over the years. Guarantees: Cabot guarantees their 3-part finishing system (which we use) for 15 years. Our glass manufacturer guarantees insulated units for 10 years. In addition, we guarantee our windows and doors for 5 years.
