|Carved Doors – Carved Wood Doors|
Carved doors manufactured by J.S. Benson Woodworking & Design are handcrafted by dedicated professionals who insist on perfection every time. Since 1978, we've been producing high-end carved wood doors for business owners and homeowners with particular tastes. With your ideas, we can craft the custom doors of your dreams. We staff seasoned artisans who can customize your carved doors to match your unique tastes. Not only are our carved wood doors crafted to perfection, they're also built with the environment in mind. Since we're certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), we can offer carved doors designed to meet and exceed requirements spelled out in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Green Building Rating System. We've always been strong proponents of responsible forestry and eco-friendly manufacturing practices. No longer does being environmentally minded limit one's options. With us at your service, the possibilities are virtually endless.
Carved Wood Door Options:Hardwood: We primarily craft our carved wood doors out of sustainably harvested pattern mahogany, but we'll use alternative hardwoods if specifications call for it. We can also design doors with mixed hardwoods; for example, you could have mahogany on the outside of an entry door because of its weather resistance and a different wood species on the inside. Most of our carved doors are stave core.
Finish: We use a variety of finishes on our carved doors, including clear-sealed, primed and top-sealed.
Joinery: Options include mortice, tenon and teak sill.
Screens: We produce screens that are compatible with any door type. Our screens are usually bronze of fiberglass mesh.

"Coming up with a solution to the warm edge technology, in conjunction with a restoration glass, true divided light, insulated glass, and the look of a unit built in 1904 proved we were just asking for the impossible. You found a solution to each and every hitch along the way."
