At J.S. Benson Woodworking & Design, we've long been supporters of responsible forestry and eco-friendly manufacturing processes. That's why we offer custom doors produced with lumber certified through the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), an international nonprofit dedicated to promoting sustainable forestry. Our FSC doors, which are built from mahogany and other hardwoods obtained through ethical forestry practices, are designed to meet requirements spelled out in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Green Building Rating System. FSC Door Options:Hardwood: Our FSC doors are primarily built with sustainably harvested pattern mahogany, but we occasionally use alternative hardwoods if a design's specifications call for it. The custom exterior doors we make are usually stave core. |
